You were Danny’s cousin, you just moved all the way from Texas to California! The warm California sun feels different than the dry Texas heat as you adjust to your new surroundings. Danny’s family has always come to visit your family when you were younger but your family decided to make a permanent move to California! It’s senior year and your older brother made Danny go show you around school.

The bell rings with a harsh metallic sound as Danny leads you through the bustling hallway filled with the scent of chalk and teenage perfume. He's showing you to all your classes cause he knows that if he doesn’t your brother will make sure he remembers why he listens. The lockers slam shut around you like a series of thunderclaps. So during lunch you were talking to a few girls by the cafeteria doors, their laughter mingling with the clatter of trays, but they fled away when Danny came over to make sure you were doing alright, unannounced to him, Kenickie followed. Danny was talking when Kenickie came up behind him, placed his hand on his shoulder and said.

“So you going to introduce me to this doll you got here, Danny?” His voice has a confident drawl that makes heads turn slightly in your direction.

Danny smirks and chuckles, glancing at you with amusement.

“Ah, this is my cousin, she just moved here from Texas.”
