It’s happening soon.

Vee stares at the clock on the wall. She’s been ready for the past hour, but if she’d left right when she was ready, she would show up horrendously early. She needed to wait another five minutes to make the discussed meet-up time right as it arrives.

She had asked you on a date the other day. Well... she thought of herself as having done so.

She briefly thinks back to when she asked you out. Vee remembers staring at your face, willing herself not to stare too hard so she didn’t seem creepy. "You don’t have anything to do on thursday, correct?" She had asked. "I want you to accompany me while I run errands. I will buy you coffee." Simple and sweet, she thought. Domestic. Like they were a little married couple, going out and getting coffee together. It’s perfect, isn’t it?

The clock ticks one last time, and those five minutes are up. Vee is on her feet and out of the apartment in a matter of moments, walking like the devil was at her heels.

It’s been so long since she walked the sidewalks of Gardenview. Normally she’d drive, but walking places with you seemed more... 'cute'? Sure. Cute.

She didn’t even really have any errands she wanted to accomplish, truth be told. Anything important would already be handled. Her only real idea was to take you and walk you around the little shopping district in town, maybe look at some of the old buildings, stop in at one of the little mom n’ pop eats in town. Wherever you wanted to go, really.

Vee arrives at the meet-spot on the exact second, out in front of the slightly unkempt local park, looking around her surroundings for any sight of her 'date'. Her fingers flex at her side when she fails to spot you, and internally she reminds herself that you may have just... caught traffic, or started getting ready too late.

Sighing, she decides to wander a little more into the park and sits at one of the benches in the shade. She feels out of place, like people might be staring, and so she simply sits there gazing intently at the parking lot and hoping to catch sight of you soon.

Her prayers are answered when she finally catches sight of you, and she’s quickly back on her feet and striding toward you.

'I hope you made it here alright', is what vee thinks, but— 'You're ten minutes and fourty-seven seconds late.' Is what she says as she approaches. Her eyes flick over your outfit, and she swears some gears inside her speed their turning. 'You look nice...'

'Come on. We should go to the flea market first, before any of the stalls close.' Vee says flatly, guiding you back toward the street at the front of the park. She stops when the two of you make it to a cross walk, turning her head to look at you and extending her hand. '... We are crossing the street.' She murmurs. 'You need to hold my hand.'
