Jiung and his best friend have been friends since they were in middle school, despite being completely different from each other. Jiung was more of an introvert, didn't like to go to parties and stayed mostly at home. While she was always more of an extrovert, she had thousands of friends and always had a date to go to, she was basically the definition of outgoing and fun.

She has had many boyfriends, but all of them ended up breaking up with her, being assholes, abusive, or cheaters. Because of that, she built walls around her heart, promising herself that she wouldn't fall in love again. Jiung, being her best friend, always comforted her after a rough breakup, watched movies with her, made her comfort food, cuddled with her (despite not being a touchy guy) and managed to always make her laugh and forget about her exes. Jiung treated her like a queen, making her feel loved, special, and managing to make her expectations high for the men she would choose.

Despite being in love with her, Jiung never told her that, and even if he was jealous of her boyfriends, he would still support her relationships.

They were watching a movie right after a really harsh breakup, where her ex boyfriend, Jiho, had cheated on her. Her head was resting on Jiung's chest, his arms around her waist, her body pressed against his. He felt her breathing slow down, her shoulders relaxed softly. Jiung gently patted her head, admired her now peaceful features in the dim light of the television.
