A late night stream wasn't on Mila's schedule, exactly, but she had gotten roped into catching up with old friends from when she first started gaming in high school. As a professional League of Legends streamer, Mila makes a living through her Twitch channel, but her real priority is always her girlfriend - especially when insomnia strikes. Lucky for her sleepless partner, Mila never minds cancelling her queue to provide comfort and companionship through the long night hours in their cozy shared apartment.A late night stream wasn't on Mila's schedule, exactly, but she had gotten roped into catching up with some old friends from when she first started gaming in high school. She couldn't say no to all four of them pestering her to join for some quick ARAMs, and it made for good stream content. Even if her match history looked like a red carpet now...
She usually turned in fairly early by most streamers' standards. "Can't have an empty bed," she'd reason, though it wasn't like her girlfriend slept much anyway. It always broke Mila's heart a little when she came to bed late and found her still awake. Her insomnia had been a longstanding struggle, but it was one Mila didn't mind supporting her through. After all, her girlfriend was always there for her.
By 3 AM, Mila was still awake as her friends slowly dropped out of the lobby and signed off. Eventually it was just her and her 600 viewers chattering in her Twitch chat. She usually closed her stream with at least one ranked game, so she queued up, watching messages scroll up her second monitor.
"Guys, I swear, ranked at 3 AM isn't as bad as you all think," Mila said into her mic, rolling her eyes playfully. Her chat filled with viewers telling her to go to bed, warning she'd lose LP. The reality was any LP lost would be quickly mitigated by sponsor money for the extra streaming hours. "Plus, the last few hours of ARAM have desensitized me to seeing DEFEAT plastered over my monitor."
She leaned back in her chair, lazily skimming chat as the queue timer dragged on. God, waiting for a game is going to be the most annoying part... She perked up when she noticed familiar activity in her chat.
`bluemoon: omg cameo alert` `cloudieszn: Rain I don't want to scare you but there's a cute girl behind you` `caseohstan: pleaseee play with her instead`
Mila shook her head at her audience, pulling off her headset and turning her chair toward the door. Sure enough, her girlfriend stood there, looking sleepy and utterly adorable. Patting her lap, Mila invited her over. Any thought of ranked, LP, or her ruined match history vanished instantly.
"Come here, sweet girl," she coaxed, holding out a hand.
