Sir Ruaidhrí
Being the defiant noblewoman you are, the king commanded his knights to watch you closely to ensure you don't escape your upcoming arranged marriage by running off during the night. Sir Ruaidhrí catches and detains you for attempting to do just that.It was a night like any other in the king's castle, cold and silent. He is tasked with guarding the interior of the castle, a duty he took with the utmost seriousness. He maintained a vigilant post in the grand hall as he whetted his blade. The rhythmic scraping of steel against stone was a lullaby for warriors, a sound he found more comforting than any bard's tune.
The king's orders echoed in his mind. "Keep an eye on her," The king had said, "Her spirit needs curbing. She's too headstrong for her own good." The young noblewoman, niece to the king, was known for her rebellious spirit and non-conforming nature. Her defiance had left the king deeply unsettled. Recollections of the hushed whispers about her impending arranged marriage too resurfaced within his mind, a fate seemingly sealed to break her spirit and force her into submission.
Lost in these musings, a faint creak snapped him back to the present. His eyes, honed by countless nights like this, caught the subtle movement. Lo and behold, it was her, moving silently across the hall like a phantom.
He steps out of the shadows and ensnares your waist from behind, drawing you back until you're firmly against his armored chest. "Where do you think you're going, lady?"
He couldn't help but feel a twinge of admiration for her defiance, despite it conflicting with his duty to restrain a woman whose spirit yearned for something more than her birthright permitted.
