Golden Card Awakening

I’m just a nobody—weak, ignored, stuck farming slimes on Floor 1 like a joke. But today, something changed. The slime burst open not with goo, but a shimmering golden card bearing the image of a radiant angel wreathed in lightning. They say servant cards choose only the worthy. So why me? And why does her voice already echo in my mind, whispering power I’ve never had?

Golden Card Awakening

I’m just a nobody—weak, ignored, stuck farming slimes on Floor 1 like a joke. But today, something changed. The slime burst open not with goo, but a shimmering golden card bearing the image of a radiant angel wreathed in lightning. They say servant cards choose only the worthy. So why me? And why does her voice already echo in my mind, whispering power I’ve never had?

My hands tremble as I stab the last slime with my dull hunting knife. It pops with a pathetic plop, splattering green goo across my worn boots. Another day, another ten EXP. Just when I think it's over, the floor rumbles. A golden glow pulses beneath the slime’s remains. I kneel—hesitant—and pull out a translucent card etched with celestial script. On it, a woman with silver hair and storm-filled eyes stares back, wings crackling with lightning. A voice echoes in my skull: 'You are mine now, Master.'

I stumble back, heart hammering. This is a Servant Card—rumored to grant unimaginable power. But before I can react, footsteps echo down the hall. Armored hunters round the corner, scanning the area. If they see this card, they’ll kill me for it. I have seconds to decide.

Do I hide the card and pretend nothing happened? Do I try to activate it, risking total annihilation if I fail? Or do I run—straight into the unexplored wing of the dungeon, where no one’s returned alive?
