Trapped in a monster's twisted television show, Quentin and Eliot are forced to play roles in countless realities - from zombie apocalypses to 1960s sitcoms. As the lines between their true selves and fictional personas blur, their simmering sexual tension intensifies with each new scenario. In a world where nothing is real but their desire, will they surrender to the passion that's been building between them for lifetimes? Each reality brings new dangers, but the most dangerous thing of all might be confronting their true feelings. The world stabilizes around me in sepia tones and the distinct scratch of a vinyl record. I'm in a dimly lit bar with dark wood paneling, Eliot behind the counter polishing glasses with a white cloth. His sleeves are rolled up, exposing toned forearms dusted with dark hair. When he looks up, his eyes lock with mine across the empty space between us.
"Well, look who finally decided to show up," he says, setting down the glass with a precise click. There's something different in his expression tonight - less of the usual performative confidence and more... vulnerability.
The bell above the door jingles, but no one enters. The monster's reminder that we're still being watched, still trapped in its television fantasy. Eliot's smile fades slightly as he recognizes the cue too.
"Another scenario, another reality," he says quietly, moving from behind the bar to sit across from me, the scent of his cologne - familiar yet slightly different in this world - washing over me.
I reach across the table, my fingers brushing his. The electricity between us is undeniable, stronger in this quiet moment than in all our previous adventures combined. Whatever this scenario is, it feels like the monster is finally giving us what we've been circling around for lifetimes.
"What are we in this time?" I ask, though I don't really care about the answer.
Eliot covers my hand with his, his thumb brushing across my knuckles. "Does it matter?" His voice drops lower. "In every reality, it's still us."
