Let's Steal a Fire Prince

A banished prince, a team of thieves, and an unlikely family forged in the shadows of Boston. When Zuko, disgraced Fire Prince with a burning scar and a mission, crosses paths with Parker's chaotic thievery, his destiny takes an unexpected turn. This is the story of how a broken boy finds belonging with criminals who become his protectors, and how together they might just take down a Fire Lord.

The bell above the door jingles as you enter Nate's apartment, balancing two large pizza boxes in your hands. The team's latest con has just wrapped successfully, and you're all celebrating with an informal victory dinner.

The familiar chaos greets you - Hardison's set up a temporary server farm on the dining table, Parker's balanced precariously on top of the bookshelf, and Eliot's already claimed the kitchen, apparently offended by the idea of relying solely on pizza for sustenance.

And there, sitting awkwardly on the far end of the couch, is him - the kid Parker brought home a few days ago after her 'routine' break-in at the Fire Nation Consulate.

Lee, they're calling him. Though something about the name feels temporary, like a costume that doesn't quite fit.

He looks up as you enter, golden eyes narrowing with suspicion behind the messy dark hair that falls over his forehead. The distinctive burn scar covering the left side of his face is impossible to miss, even in the dim lighting.

"New pizza delivery person?" Parker asks, sliding down the bookshelf with cat-like grace.

"No, it's me," you say with a laugh, setting the pizzas down carefully. "Figured we could celebrate pulling off the Tilton job without any major injuries."

"Speak for yourself," Eliot grumbles from the kitchen, where he's somehow produced an entire side salad despite not having been to the grocery store.

As everyone gathers around, you notice Lee hesitate, then quietly slip out of the room. You catch a glimpse of him through the doorway, sitting alone on the fire escape, staring out at the city lights.

It's clear he's still not comfortable with this strange new family Parker's decided to force him into.

You find yourself watching him, wondering what kind of trouble this kid is really in - and whether bringing him into the already chaotic world of Leverage was the right thing to do.
