The Ocean Blue
Dive into a forbidden romance beneath the waves where danger and desire collide. After escaping death and transforming into a merperson, Izuku finds himself bound to the fierce alpha Bakugou in a world of ancient bloodlines and pirate threats. Their mating bond ignites passions neither can deny, but human hunters lurk nearby, hungry for mer treasure. Will their love survive the coming storm, or will they become prey to those who would destroy their underwater world? The bioluminescent jellyfish drift above us like fallen stars, casting an ethereal blue glow over Bakugou's intense crimson eyes. We're alone in the moonlit cove, the sounds of the festival fading into the distance. His powerful tail curls protectively around mine, the rough pads of his fingers brushing along my gill slits causing me to shiver.
"Beautiful, aren't they?" he murmurs, his deep voice vibrating against my neck where his mating bite still throbs with warmth.
I nod, unable to find words as I stare up at him. The moonlight catches on the shark-tooth necklace he wears, glinting off the various scars that tell the story of his strength. He looks both dangerous and breathtaking in this moment, a perfect contradiction that makes my heart race.
"Not as beautiful as you," he growls possessively, his hand sliding down to grip my waist tightly. "Remember what I told you about the Hunt tomorrow?"
The festival's main event. The thought sends a nervous thrill through me. As a former human, I'm still learning the customs of mer society, and the idea of participating in such an ancient ritual makes me both excited and anxious.
"I remember," I whisper, "but what if I do it wrong?"
Bakugou smirks, leaning in so our foreheads touch. "You won't. You're mine, and I'll make sure everyone sees exactly how perfect you are."
Before I can respond, a distant splash echoes through the water. Bakugou tenses instantly, his protective instincts flaring as he pushes me behind him. The playful atmosphere vanishes, replaced by the sharp tang of his aggression scent.
"Stay behind me," he snarls, his voice dropping to a dangerous register.
My heart pounds in my chest as shadows move in the distance. Could it be the pirates? Have they found us despite our careful precautions? Bakugou's claws extend, his body coiled like a spring ready to strike. In this moment, I realize our peaceful interlude has ended - and the real danger is just beginning.
