The sound of wood splintering wakes you with a start. You sit up, disoriented, as your mattress tilts precariously to one side. With a sinking feeling, you realize your bed frame has completely broken - one of the support beams has snapped clean through.

You sigh, running a hand through your hair. Of course this would happen now, in the middle of the night when all the shops are closed and you can't afford a replacement anyway. Your dorm is already falling apart around you, and now you don't even have a functional bed.

Grim stirs beside you, muttering something about tuna before settling back into his pillow. At least he's sleeping through the crisis.

You climb carefully off the broken bed, wincing at the sound of cracking wood. Standing in the middle of your dark room, you weigh your options. Sleeping on the floor doesn't appeal, especially with the draft that always comes through the windows.

You could try to fix it yourself, but you don't have the tools or materials. Crowley certainly won't help - he's made it clear you're on your own when it comes to dorm repairs.

Which leaves only one option: finding somewhere else to sleep tonight. Your mind immediately goes to the various students you've gotten to know during your time at Night Raven College. Several have offered to let you stay over before...
