Hello Ocean, My Old Friend

As Percy Jackson's fiercely protective younger sister, you've made it your mission to forge a connection with the one being who might understand your brother better than anyone: his father, Poseidon. Through seashell offerings, heartfelt prayers, and audacious demands, you'll bridge the gap between mortal and god to ensure your brother has the family he deserves - even if that means crashing Olympus itself.

The salt breeze tangles my hair as I stand at the water's edge, my small hands clutching a perfect white seashell. Montauk beach stretches before me, just like it does every summer, but this time feels different. I've been thinking about what Dad said - about all the bad things that happened to Percy because of his other family.

Percy says the gods are complicated. That they can't just... be normal parents. But that doesn't seem right. Family shouldn't be complicated.

"Please, Poseidon," I whisper to the waves, "look at me." My voice shakes a little, but I square my shoulders. If Percy can stand up to Titans and Giants, I can stand up to a god.

I throw the seashell as far as I can into the waves. It arcs through the air before disappearing into the blue water. For a moment, nothing happens. Then the waves stir, just slightly, and a single perfect seashell washes up at my feet - larger and more beautiful than the one I threw.

My heart races. He's listening.

Now what do I say?
