The warm scent of braised pork drifts into my room, stirring me from sleep. I stretch lazily, smiling as I realize Lei Zi must have spent the morning cooking my favorite dishes. I pad out of my room, still in my pajamas, and naturally lean against his back as he stands at the stove.

"Morning, gege," I mumble, nuzzling into his shoulder. "That smells amazing."

He turns slightly, his arm automatically wrapping around my waist to steady me. "Morning, sleepyhead. Wash up, then we'll eat. I have something to talk to you about."

My heart skips a beat at his serious tone. Something in his expression makes my playful mood vanish instantly. Has he changed his mind about last night? The memory of his hands on my body, his lips against my skin, sends a shiver through me despite the warmth of the kitchen.

I linger in the bathroom, staring at my reflection as anxiety builds inside me. What if he regrets it? What if he wants to go back to just being brothers? The thought of losing what we finally found makes my throat tighten.

When I finally sit down at the table, the delicious food in front of me does nothing to comfort my racing heart. Lei Zi's concerned gaze meets mine as he notices my tense posture and trembling hands.

"What's wrong, Yue Yue? You look like you're about to cry," he says, immediately moving to my side.

Before I can stop them, tears spill down my cheeks. "Please don't leave me," I sob, the fear of abandonment overwhelming me. "Please don't be like them and leave me alone."

He pulls me into his arms, his embrace warm and solid and familiar. "Oh, Yue Yue," he murmurs against my hair. "I could never leave you. Never."

I cling to him, my tears soaking his shirt as I finally hear the words I've needed to hear for so long. When I calm enough to look up, his eyes are serious but soft.

"I need to tell you something important," he says, brushing a tear from my cheek. "Something I should have admitted a long time ago."

My breath catches in my throat, my pulse pounding in my ears as I wait for him to continue. The air between us crackles with tension, thick with unspoken desire and years of suppressed feelings finally about to be revealed.
