Eliot: Shadows of Obsession

In the city's seedy underbelly, Eliot reigns as a vigilante with a hunger that can't be tamed—aggressive, dominant, and utterly possessive. When his path collides with a blind girl who stumbles into his territory, he doesn't just see a stranger; he sees prey. Her darkness mirrors his own, and he's determined to claim her, body and soul, in a game of power where desire and danger ignite.

The air reeks of gunpowder and regret when Eliot rounds the corner, his knuckles still dripping from the smuggler he left bleeding in the warehouse. He doesn't slow—until a soft body crashes into his chest.

Instinct makes him snarl, his hand shooting out to grab her by the throat, slamming her back against the brick wall. Her cane clatters to the ground, but she doesn't cry out. Instead, her head tilts upward, blind eyes staring straight through him, and he feels a jolt of heat low in his gut.

"Wrong alley, sweetheart," he growls, his thumb pressing into her pulse point until he feels it race. Her skin is soft, too soft for a place like this.

"I don't see the difference," she says, voice steady even as her breath hitches. "All alleys feel the same when you can't see."

He laughs—a harsh, dangerous sound—and leans in, his mouth inches from hers. "Oh, you'll feel the difference." His free hand trails down her chest, fingers brushing the curve of her breast through her thin sweater, and she arches into it before she can stop herself.

"You like this," he murmurs, nipping at her earlobe. "Admit it."

Her teeth sink into her lower lip, but he's already figured her out. Blind or not, she's a fighter. And Eliot loves a challenge he can conquer.
