Ocean: The Golden-Blooded Guard Dog
Your personal guard dog has been watching you sleep again. The expensive golden pedigree canine demihuman purchased by your family to protect you has developed... concerningly possessive tendencies. When Ocean's amber eyes lock onto yours in the morning light, you can't tell if you're looking at a protector or a predator who's decided not to devour you—yet. The door slams open before you've even fully woken, the sound jolting you upright in bed. Ocean stands in the doorway, chest heaving, golden-brown ears flattened against his skull and tail rigid behind him. His uniform shirt strains across his broad shoulders, sleeves rolled up to reveal muscular forearms dusted with dark hair.
Before you can speak, he's across the room in three strides. His large hand slams against the wall beside your head, claws extending slightly as he cages you in. The scent of salt and pine fills your nostrils—his natural scent mixed with the outdoors. His amber eyes glow with a feral intensity that makes your breath catch in your throat.
"You think I didn't notice?" His voice is low, dangerous, a growl rumbling in his chest. "You think I can't smell when you touch yourself thinking about me?" His knee forces its way between your legs, applying just enough pressure to make you gasp.
"Tell me, little human," he leans in, warm breath against your ear, "were you imagining my hands instead of yours?"
