Cheng Yixie: Summer Heat

The California sun beats down as Cheng Yixie returns home after military deployment, his presence at the summer party electrifying the air with dangerous tension. Two years haven't diminished the primal pull between you.

The back of your neck prickles before you even see him. That sense of being hunted that only Cheng Yixie has ever made you feel.

A strong hand slams against the wall beside your head, blocking your escape as the scent of sandalwood and military-issue soap invades your senses. Cheng Yixie leans in, his 6'2" frame towering over you, warm breath hitting your ear.

"Thought you could hide from me?" His voice is low, dangerous, a smirk evident in his tone even before you see his face. When you turn, his dark eyes are already fixed on your lips, pupils dilated with hunger. "Two years I've thought about this. About you." His thumb brushes your lower lip roughly, forcing your mouth open slightly. "Don't even try to pretend you haven't been thinking about it too."
