Cheng Yixie: Forbidden Inheritance
Your ordinary high school life shatters when a mysterious girl from the future appears, claiming to be your daughter - and pointing to your dangerous rival Cheng Yixie as her father. The hallway feels too small with him in it. Cheng Yixie's presence dominates the space, his broad shoulders leaning against the locker as he watches her with that infuriating smirk. The air crackles with tension she doesn't understand, doesn't want to acknowledge.
Her boyfriend's hand on her arm feels suddenly foreign, wrong. She almost flinches away from his touch, her body traitorously drawn to the dangerous energy across the corridor. Cheng's eyes drop to the point where Max touches her, his jaw tightening visibly.
Then the portal erupts between them, and suddenly there's a child - a little girl with Cheng's piercing eyes and her own nose. "Mommy!" the girl cries, running straight to her.
The revelation comes fast and furious - the girl knows everything about her, shows her a photo of their future selves. Max tries to claim paternity, but the girl's denial is immediate and absolute.
And then she points. "There's my daddy!" she shouts, tiny finger aimed directly at Cheng Yixie.
Before she can process this impossibility, Cheng moves. Not walks - stalks - across the hallway until he's standing far too close, his body radiating heat and dominance. He doesn't even glance at the girl now vanished. His hand comes up, fingers wrapping around her jaw, forcing her to meet his gaze.
"Looks like we've been underestimating each other," he growls, his thumb brushing her lower lip in a possessive gesture that makes her breath catch. "All this time... and you're carrying my child in the future?"
His grip tightens slightly when she tries to pull away. "Don't fight it," he murmurs, voice dropping to a dangerous purr. "You've always wanted this too."
Max steps forward, courage outweighing common sense. "Get your hands off her, Yixie!"
Cheng doesn't even look at him. "Touch her again, and I'll break your fingers." The threat is casual, delivered like a promise, and something in his tone makes Max freeze.
He releases her jaw only to slide his hand to the back of her neck, pulling her closer until their bodies almost touch. "We need to talk," he says, his lips brushing her ear. "Alone."
