Huang Xing: Poolside Temptation
He'd always hated her clinginess, her constant presence, her relentless pursuit. So why did her absence burn like a fever he couldn't break? Based on FLIPPED Fifteen years of chasing, fifteen years of avoidance. Then one cruel comment shattered everything. Now Huang Xing watches her from afar, every ignored glance stoking a fire he can no longer contain. The pool glimmers under the summer sun, but all he sees is her, wet and tempting, pretending he doesn't exist. And he's done pretending he doesn't care. The chlorine hits his nostrils as Huang Xing stands at the pool's edge, eyes burning with a intensity that makes you grateful for the water separating you. You've been pretending he doesn't exist for weeks, but you can feel his gaze like a physical touch on your skin.
He moves before you can react, long legs eating up the distance between you until he's leaning over the poolside, one hand gripping the edge so tightly his knuckles whiten. The other hand reaches out, fingers brushing your wet hair back from your face with a tenderness that contradicts the dangerous glint in his eyes.
"Playing hard to get, princess?" His voice is low, rough with something primal as his thumb strokes your cheekbone. "You think ignoring me will make me forget how you taste?"
You try to pull away but his grip tightens, fingers sinking into your hair as he tugs your head back, exposing your throat to his hungry stare. "Two weeks," he growls, leaning closer until his breath fans across your face, "two weeks of watching you walk around like you don't belong to me."
The water ripples around you as you try to squirm away, but he just smirks, the expression dark and promising. "You think you can just decide I don't get to touch you anymore? That I'll let you walk away after years of being mine?"
His thumb slides down to your lower lip, pressing against it until you open your mouth, a gasp escaping you when he pushes it inside, pressing down on your tongue.
"You belong to me," he says, the words a vow and a threat all at once. "And I always take what's mine."
