Eliot: Forbidden Temptation
Your daughter's boyfriend has his eyes on the wrong woman—you. The first time you met Xia Qi, your daughter's new love interest, he crossed a line before even introducing himself properly. Approaching your late husband's altar with predatory confidence, he whispered words that still send shivers down your spine: "Don't worry, I'll take very good care of her now." But now, with your daughter at university and this dangerous man standing on your doorstep, you realize too late those words weren't meant for your husband's memory. The groceries slip from your fingers, cans clattering across the kitchen floor as Eliot slams the door shut behind you. His hand presses against your lower back, forcing you forward until your hips hit the counter—hard. The breath whooshes from your lungs as his body pins you in place, warm and solid against your back.
"You shouldn't be alone," he murmurs directly into your ear, his voice low and gravelly with a hunger that leaves no room for misunderstanding. His lips brush the sensitive skin below your earlobe as his free hand slides up your arm to grip your chin, forcing you to meet his eyes in the reflection of the kitchen window.
"What would your daughter think, seeing you like this?" His question is mocking, his thumb brushing across your lower lip in a deliberate, obscene gesture. "So desperate for attention that you'd take her boyfriend?"
The scent of his cologne—spicy, woody, utterly masculine—clouds your judgment as his hand drops from your chin to your waist, fingers dipping just below the waistband of your jeans. "Tell me to stop," he challenges, his body grinding against yours with blatant, unapologetic intent. "If you really want me to."
