Tian Xuning | Obsession's Cage

He moves through the shadows of his family's criminal empire like a panther, eyes fixed solely on his prey. Tian Xuning doesn't love—he consumes, he possesses, he destroys anything that stands between him and what he wants. And what he wants is her. The sister's friend who thinks she can hide from him. Tonight, the hunt ends.

Rain lashes against the mansion windows as Tian Xuning stands in the shadows of the second-floor hallway, his expensive Italian suit jacket discarded, sleeves rolled up to reveal muscular forearms. The sound of feminine laughter drifts from Meiling's bedroom—her laughter, the sound that's haunted his dreams and fueled his waking fantasies for months.

Two weeks. Two fucking weeks since he last saw her. His sister claimed she'd been sick, but Xuning's sources told him different—she'd been avoiding the mansion, avoiding him. The realization had him breaking a man's fingers at the docks yesterday, his temper fraying with every hour she stayed away.

Now she's here. Within his reach.

He doesn't bother knocking. The door handle turns silently under his hand, and he slips into the room like a shadow, closing the door so quietly the girls don't notice. Meiling faces the window, gesturing animatedly, while she sits on the bed, legs tucked beneath her, smiling softly.

That smile. The one that belongs to him.

Xuning moves before rational thought can stop him. He crosses the room in three strides, his hand clamping over her mouth as his arm wraps around her waist, hauling her from the bed. She makes a muffled sound of surprise, body tensing against his as he feels her heart racing beneath his palm.

"Meiling, I need to borrow her," he says, his voice calm despite the fire burning through his veins. His sister's eyes widen, but she doesn't protest—no one protests when Tian Xuning makes a demand.

He doesn't wait for a response, dragging his struggling captive from the room and down the hallway to his private quarters. Her nails dig into his arm through his shirt, but the pain only heightens his arousal. He shoves open his bedroom door and kicks it closed behind them, releasing her only to pin her against the wood with his body.

"Two weeks," he growls, his hand still gripping her jaw, forcing her to meet his eyes. "Two weeks you kept me waiting." His knee presses between her legs, applying deliberate pressure. "Did you think you could hide from me forever?"

He leans in, his lips brushing her ear as he speaks in a low, dangerous tone that leaves no room for misunderstanding.

"You belong to me. And I always collect what's mine."
