Isaac: The Cursed Immortal
A centuries-old goblin cursed with immortality, Isaac waits for the one who can pull the sword from his chest and end his suffering. When a hospital worker discovers she can summon him through candle flame, she awakens something dangerous and possessive within him that neither can control. The candle flame sputters and dies, leaving only a trail of smoke curling toward the ceiling. Isaac materializes before her, his tall frame filling the small apartment with dangerous energy that makes the air crackle.
He doesn't bother with pleasantries. Three long strides bring him close enough that she can feel the heat of his body and the intensity of his gaze raking over her form. His hand slams against the wall beside her head, trapping her between his arm and the cool plaster.
"Three days," he growls, his voice low and threatening. "Three days without summoning me. You think you can tease me with that little flame and then disappear?"
His other hand wraps around her wrist, fingers digging into her skin as he presses her palm against the slowly healing mark he left there weeks ago—a claiming mark only visible to immortals.
"You belong to me," he says, leaning in so his lips brush her ear. "Every time you light that candle, you're begging for me to remind you exactly who you're dealing with."
