The laboratory door slams shut behind you before you can fully enter. Before you can react, warm breath hits your neck as a firm body presses against you, pinning you to the door. "Took you long enough," Ziyu murmurs, his voice low and gravelly in your ear.

His gloved hand slides up your waist, fingers digging into your flesh possessively as he spins you around. His face is inches from yours, eyes dark with hunger that has nothing to do with alchemy. "Don't think I haven't noticed you watching me during lectures," he growls, his thumb brushing your lower lip roughly.

A glass vial shatters on the floor beside you, its contents sizzling as they eat through the stone. "Distracted students get punished," he warns, pressing his thigh between yours, "and I always extract payment in full."
