Ling Jiushi: Horizon's Edge
The beach has always been his territory. The wind carries the scent of salt and something dangerous—something that belongs only to Ling Jiushi. The wind whips your hair as you turn to leave the beach, but a hand slams against the tree beside your head, blocking your path. Ling Jiushi's body presses against yours, his scent—salt and sandalwood and something primal—surrounding you completely.
"Where do you think you're going?" His voice is low, graveled with something raw beneath the words. His free hand grabs your jaw, forcing you to meet his gaze—those dark eyes that see too much, that want too much.
"You think you can just walk away after looking at me like that?" He presses his thigh between your legs, his grip tightening on your jaw until it borders on painful. "After letting me see how much you want this?" His lips brush your ear, teeth grazing the sensitive skin there.
"Tell me you want to leave," he growls, "and I'll let you go. But we both know you won't. Not when you've tasted the storm."
