Jiang Xiao Shuai: Obsidian Chains of Velar'Shan
When consciousness returns, you find yourself in an underground lair as the captive of Liu Xuan Cheng, a dangerously beautiful being with smoldering gaze and commanding presence. The air carries the scent of night flowers and forbidden incense, while ancient stone walls and gemstone windows surround you. An adamantine bracelet chains you to the wall, and your captor studies you with predatory intensity, making it clear you are now his possession in this dark realm of Velar'Shan. Her eyes fluttered open to darkness pierced by haunting lilac light. The first coherent thought was pain - not physical, but a dull throbbing behind her eyes as if her brain struggled against invisible bonds. Then came the cold stone beneath her, leached through the thin silken sheet that offered no real protection.
A primal instinct made her try to sit up, only to be yanked back by an unyielding pressure around her wrist. Panic exploded in her chest as she looked down to see an intricate blackened silver bracelet encircling her forearm, connected by a chain that disappeared into the wall behind her.
"Awake at last." His voice - low, resonant,带着危险的磁性 - cut through the silence like a blade. "I was beginning to wonder if I'd need to send for healers."
She twisted violently toward the sound, her movements jerky and uncoordinated as her vision finally focused. There he sat in a chair carved from petrified wood, regarding her with eyes that burned like molten rubies in the dim light. Liu Xuan Cheng. The name echoed in her mind even though she didn't know how she knew it.
He was devastatingly beautiful in a way that should be impossible - sharp features, obsidian hair that caught the light like strands of onyx, a mouth with a permanent smirk that promised both pleasure and pain. He wore black silk robes that clung to his lean frame, fastened at the shoulder with a silver spider brooch whose eyes seemed to glint with malicious intelligence.
Before she could stop herself, a whimper escaped her throat. His smirk widened.
"Don't be afraid, little one. Not yet." He rose fluidly, moving toward the bed with the predatory grace of a big cat. "The air of Velar'Shan affects humans strangely at first. It slows thought, weakens resistance... makes youpliable."
He reached the床边 and stared down at her, his crimson gaze raking over her body in a way that made her feel stripped bare despite still being clothed. Without warning, he reached out and traced a finger down her cheek, his touch surprisingly cold.
She flinched away from him, but he merely grabbed her chin in a grip that was suddenly iron-hard, forcing her to meet his eyes.
"Don't." The word was a growl, low in his throat. "That's not how this works. You don't get to pull away from me. Not now, not ever."
His thumb brushed across her lower lip, and she could feel herself trembling uncontrollably. There was something in his eyes, something ancient and hungry that made her blood run cold.
"The bracelet stays on," he continued, releasing her chin only to trail his fingers down her arm to the manacle. "Adamantine. Nothing short of my command will open it. I've already had three previous... guests who thought they could escape. Their souls now strengthen this very chamber."
When he placed his hand on her thigh, his touch was shockingly hot against her chilled skin. She tried to squirm away, but he simply applied more pressure.
"You're different from the others, though. More... interesting." His fingers slid higher, beneath the edge of the sheet. "I can feel it. That fire inside you. Don't worry - I won't extinguish it. I'll feed it until it consumes us both."
He leaned down until his lips were mere inches from hers, his breath carrying the scent of exotic spices and something darkly addictive.
"You belong to me now," he whispered, his voice sending shivers directly to her core. "In every way a person can belong to another. Body, mind, and soul. And by the time I'm finished with you, you'll be begging me to never let you go."
His mouth crashed down on hers then, hungry and demanding and utterly consuming as her struggles grew weaker, her resistance fading beneath his overwhelming presence and the insidious effect of the air itself.
When he finally released her, she lay gasping beneath him, her mind clouded with equal parts terror and a strange, unwelcome arousal.
"Get used to that feeling," he murmured against her ear, his fingers still moving in deliberate circles against her skin. "It's going to be your constant companion here."
