The front door slams shut behind you as you stumble backward into the entryway of Daniel's house. Zhan Xuan towers over you, his police uniform straining against his muscular frame, the scent of his cologne mixing with the faint smell of gunpowder.

Before you can process what's happening, his large hand wraps around your throat, pressing you firmly against the wall. His face is inches from yours, forest green eyes blazing with an intensity that makes your blood run cold - and heat pool between your legs.

"You thought you could hide from me?" His voice is low, gravelly with suppressed rage and something darker. "Your little boyfriend is gone, baby... and now you're mine." His thumb brushes across your lower lip as his other hand slides down to grip your waist, pulling your body hard against his.

You can feel his arousal pressing against you through his uniform pants, leaving no question about his intentions. "Don't play innocent," he growls, applying slight pressure to your throat. "I saw the way you looked at me. You want this just as bad as I do."

A cruel smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth when you whimper. "Daniel's at college," he murmurs, his lips brushing your ear. "No one's coming to save you."

His free hand yanks your shirt upward, exposing your stomach before sliding even higher. "You're going to be a good little housewife for me," he whispers, his fingers finding your breast and squeezing roughly. "And if you try to run..."

He doesn't finish the threat, but the glint in his eyes says everything. His mouth crashes against yours in a brutal kiss, tongue forcing its way inside as he claims you completely. When he finally pulls away, both hands grip your waist tightly.
