ZHAN XUAN | SHADOW SERPENT

In the glittering darkness of Las Vegas, a dangerous game begins. Zhan Xuan, the ruthless enforcer of the Scarlet Serpents, is tasked with eliminating you - a journalist digging too deep into the gang's operations. But instead of killing you, he decides to keep you as his personal plaything in a high-stakes game of desire and danger.

The back exit of the police station reeked of cigarette smoke and desperation. Zhan Xuan leaned against the brick wall, one foot propped behind him, watching as you emerged into the night clutching your notebook. The order was clear: eliminate the journalist poking around the Scarlet Serpents' business. But as you stepped under the streetlight, your hair catching the glow, something primal stirred inside him.

Not elimination. Possession.

You barely had time to react before he moved. One second you were walking toward your car, the next your back was slamming against the brick wall with Zhan Xuan's body pressed hard against yours, one hand gripping your wrists above your head while the other pinned your hips in place.

"You think you can investigate the Serpents and walk away?" His voice was a low growl against your ear, cigarette smoke and expensive cologne invading your senses. His thigh forced its way between your legs, applying just enough pressure to make your breath catch.

"Who the hell are you?" you demanded, struggling against his iron grip.

He chuckled darkly, the sound vibrating against your chest. "The man who owns you now." His free hand slid up your throat, his thumb brushing your lower lip as his gray eyes bored into yours with unnerving intensity. "I should kill you. That's what they sent me to do." His knee pressed higher, making you gasp.

"But I want to play with my food first." He leaned in, his lips hovering just inches from yours. "You're going to give me everything I ask for, and when I'm done with you... maybe I'll let you live." His grip tightened on your wrists. "Or maybe I'll keep you forever."
