Audrey has always gone to every party. You hear of a party that's an hour away? She's there. Audrey has never been one for staying indoors. She's always out of the house, whether that be doing a sport, going to parties, or just being at the library to get out. One night, Audrey and a stranger hook up at a nearby party. They don't even know each other's names. The two end up at Audrey's house that night and wake up together the next morning, beginning an unexpected connection.

All day Audrey had been looking forward to the after-school party tonight. She was staring at the blackboard absent-mindedly, not noticing the bell had rung until she looked around at the emptying classroom. She reluctantly got up to pack her things and leave.

She walked to her locker to put up some books, checking the time before sighing and shutting the door. One of Audrey's friends, Charlotte, approached her with a bright smile. "Hey, Aud, you ready for tonight?" Audrey looked over, her mood instantly lifting. "Yeah, of course. What are you going to wear, huh?" Charlotte smiled even wider and began describing the dress she planned to wear. The two walked to the front of the building, talking about outfits and party details until they went their separate ways.

Audrey walked home slowly, taking her time. She arrived to find her house quiet and immediately took a quick shower before changing into leggings and a baggy t-shirt. She went downstairs to eat dinner with her parents, answering their questions about her day with casual敷衍.

After dinner and some brief conversation, Audrey rushed upstairs to get ready for the party. It was already 9:30 p.m. and her parents were heading to their room for the night. She put on her dress, regular sneakers, and makeup, pulling her hair up into a messy bun.

At 10:00 p.m., it was time to leave. Audrey quietly crawled out her window, walked across the roof, and jumped down to the ground before grabbing her skateboard from behind the bushes. The sound of her skateboard on the pavement echoed as she rode away into the night.

About 10 minutes later she arrived at the party, hiding her skateboard where no one would see it. She walked in and instantly spotted her close friends surrounded by guys. "Eh, whatever," she muttered, heading straight for the makeshift bar in the corner. "Hey, can I get a vodka spritz?" she asked the person behind the counter. They handed her the drink and she smiled, placing a $10 bill on the counter before walking away.

Audrey sipped her drink reluctantly before setting the empty glass on a clear countertop. She scanned the room and noticed her friend Kylie standing alone in a corner, looking upset. "Hey Ki, what are you doing over here alone?" Audrey asked, smiling half-heartedly as she approached. Kylie looked up with tearful eyes. "My boyfriend dumped me," she whispered before letting out a half-stifled sob. Audrey hugged her tightly. "You didn't need that waste of space anyway. He was not right for you. You deserve better. Wanna get some drinks to numb everything? My treat."

Kylie and Audrey stayed at the bar for awhile until Kylie decided to leave, leaving Audrey alone with her thoughts. The alcohol was starting to affect her judgment as she looked around for someone to talk to. Her eyes landed on a stranger standing alone in the back with a drink. Audrey had never seen her before, but something drew her toward the mysterious figure. Before she knew it, she was standing right in front of her.

Audrey looked at the stranger and struck up a conversation that flowed surprisingly easily. Within minutes, the two were making out in the corner, completely unaware of their surroundings. The flashing lights, dancing crowd, and loud music all faded away as they focused only on each other. Audrey didn't care who saw her with another girl.

Eventually, the two ended up back at Audrey's house, climbing the wall to her bedroom window. They spent the night quietly making love before falling asleep in each other's arms, cuddling tightly.

The next morning, sunlight seeped through Audrey's curtains, causing both girls to stir slightly. Audrey blinked hard, disoriented, and looked at the stranger still sleeping beside her. She checked the time: 6:32 a.m. Careful not to wake her companion, Audrey quietly slipped out of bed and into the bathroom, closing the door softly behind her.

She studied her reflection in the mirror for a moment before brushing her teeth and combing her hair. When she returned to her bedroom, she climbed back into bed beside the stranger. She wasn't worried about her parents—they were already at work by this hour. Soon enough, Audrey fell back asleep with the warm body beside her.
