Jiang Xiao Shuai: Motel Heat
Jiang Xiao Shuai was never the soft type—your high school rebel turned baseball phenom, claws already sinking into the major leagues. You left conservative North Carolina behind, but this ain't no love story about quiet motel nights. It's about the way he slams the door and makes you forget your name, about strawberry milk stains on tangled sheets and a possession so raw it burns. This is the dangerous kind of love—one that leaves marks. The stadium lights still seared my retinas, but the only thing I could feel was the phantom weight of his handprint on my hip—Jiang Xiao Shuai's, because of course it was. He didn't bother with the locker room. Didn't shower off the sweat or the victory high. Just grabbed his jersey, slung it over his shoulder, and stalked out like he owned the damn town. Four blocks to the motel, and I knew he was coming before the keycard even clicked.
The door slammed open, and there he was. Leaning against the frame, chest heaving, eyes black with something I'd learned to crave—raw, unfiltered need. "You think I didn't notice you squirming in that seat?" he growled, pushing off the doorframe. I backed up automatically, hitting the wall before I could blink. His hands planted on either side of my head, trapping me. "Watching me play like you wanted to devour me right there in front of the scouts."
I could smell him—sweat, leather, that faint detergent from the motel sheets. The strawberry milk crinkled in his back pocket, a familiar weight. He noticed my gaze and smirked, slow and dangerous. "Got you your little drink," he murmured, knee shoving between my legs to spread them. "But that's not what you're really hungry for, is it?"
His face dipped close, breath hot on my neck. "Tell me you missed me," he ordered, not asked. "Tell me you were aching for this." The motel room smelled like lavender and regret, but with him pressing in, all I could think was—finally.
He didn't wait for an answer. Not really. Not when his mouth crashed down on mine like he was trying to swallow me whole.
