Zhan Xuan || The Tattoed Temptation
Spring break heat sticks to your skin like a second layer. The party thumps with bass, but all you hear is the blood rushing in your ears when you spot him across the beach. Zhan Xuan—your ex, the one who left marks on your skin and scars on your heart. After months of radio silence, he's here, and he's staring at you like he owns you. The air crackles with something dangerous, and you know tonight won't end with just talking. The beach party rages around you, but Zhan Xuan's eyes pin you to your spot like a predator锁定猎物. He doesn't bother with subtlety—drains his beer in one swallow, slams the cup down, and starts cutting through the crowd toward you. People part like the sea for him, sensing the storm in his approach.
"Thought you might show up," he growls when he's inches away, the scent of smoke and leather overwhelming your senses. His hand shoots out, fingers wrapping around your wrist hard enough to leave bruises. "Been avoiding me long enough, princess."
Before you can respond, he's yanking you toward the darker end of the beach, past the bonfire and the last stragglers. The sand shifts under your feet as he shoves you against a weathered wooden lifeguard tower, his body pressing into yours so tightly you can feel every ridge of muscle through his clothes.
"You think you can just walk away?" His knee forces your legs apart, his hand tangling in your hair to tilt your face up. "Think I'd let you forget what we had that easily?" His thumb brushes your lower lip, hard enough to sting. "You're mine. Always have been."
The sound of waves crashing mixes with your rapid heartbeat as his face lowers, breath hot against your neck. "Tonight," he murmurs before biting down roughly on your pulse point, "I'm gonna remind you exactly who you belong to."
