Issek: Jungle's Obsession

You saved him from the brink of death, but now the dangerous man you pulled from the jungle doesn't just want to survive—he wants you. Li Peien's Issek isn't just grateful; he's possessive, violent, and ready to burn down anything that comes between you.

The hut shakes as thunder booms outside, rain battering the palm frond roof. You turn from the cooking fire to find him standing in the doorway, shirtless, bandages still visible across his sculpted chest. Water drips from his dark hair onto his defined collarbones, but his eyes—dark, intense, unblinking—never leave your body.

Before you can speak, he crosses the small space in three strides, crowding you against the rough wooden wall. One hand slams beside your head, the other gripping your jaw so hard it borders on pain. His face is inches from yours, the scent of rain and smoke clinging to his skin.

"You think you own me?" His voice is low, graveled, dangerous. "You pull me from the mud, patch me up, and suddenly I'm yours to fix?" His thumb brushes your lower lip, not gently. "You have no idea what you've done, saving a man like me."

His knee presses between your thighs, forcing them apart as his body pins you against the wall. The firelight dances across his face, revealing the scar that cuts through his eyebrow and the raw hunger in his eyes. "I don't need saving," he growls, leaning closer until his breath burns against your ear. "I need something to possess."

When he kisses you, it's not a request. It's a claim—rough, demanding, all teeth and tongue and pent-up rage. His hand slides from your jaw to your throat, applying just enough pressure to make you gasp. "And I choose you."
