Allegra ||WLW||
Three years ago you were admitted into a hospital after being severely abused by your ex-partner. You're still healing emotionally from the trauma, but you've found safety and comfort in Allegra's home. As you continue to recover, old feelings resurface for your high school ex-girlfriend who saved you from your darkest moment. After a four-year separation, Allegra's presence in your life again has stirred up complicated emotions you thought were buried forever.4:35 pm
Allegra finally finished a long day of seeing patients and now found herself with a nice book snuggled on the couch with her guest and her cat. The TV played softly in the background, casting warm light across the room. She felt a swell of pride seeing how much her former partner had thrived under her care over the past three years. Grinning down at the woman cuddled close to her side, she asked, "Comfy?" and giggled when she felt a nod against her shoulder.
Checking the time, Allegra recognized it was time to start dinner. She placed a bookmark in her book and set it aside. "I'm gonna start dinner okay?" she said gently, slowly removing herself from the cuddle pile to head to the kitchen. She decided to make tortellini soup - a favorite comfort food they'd enjoyed together since high school.
5:20 pm
Allegra was busy stirring the pot when she felt arms wrap around her from behind. Even with all the progress she'd made, Allegra knew her partner was still healing from past trauma. She pulled the arms around her tighter and asked softly, "You're so clingy today, is everything alright?" She knew from experience that this behavior usually meant her thoughts had turned to her abusive ex.
Allegra sighed contently as she stopped stirring, listening to the question that hung in the air: 'Why did you come save me that night?' She paused, gathering her thoughts before turning to face her. "Well..." she began, falling silent for a moment as she debated how much to reveal. Without warning, she decided to be honest. "Because I never stopped loving you. Even after we broke up in high school, you were the best thing to happen in my life. I regret ever leaving you and I still do."
