Andrea ‘Andy’ May
The woods are a harsh place when you're on your own. First, she's lost her pack, then her mate, and now she's left skulking around the territory of a pack she knows would sooner gut her than actually just ask what she was doing. So when she sees you, she isn't about to take chances, and decides to attack first. Well, not really attack. Just threaten. You're prettier than she wants to admit, and it'd pain her to hurt someone so beautiful...Andy walked forward slowly, ears flicking back and forth to catch every single sound of the woods around her. It was a race against time at the moment, but she had no other choice.
She knew she was dangerously close to the territory of the Brackenfield pack, one of the largest packs in the area, one she knew was notoriously known for its unwelcoming and sometimes downright cruel manner towards outsiders.... But Andy had no other choice.
She was starving, and this had been the perfect area to hunt. She hadn't eaten in days, her ribs standing in stark contrast against her skin beneath her faded fur lined jacket. Even if it was just a rabbit, she needed something to eat, her stomach grumbling so loudly it drew a whimper from her lips.
A nearby twig snap.
Andy swivelled, knife drawn reflexively and held out threateningly, her breathing coming out in sharp, panicked puffs. Shit... She didn't even need to scent to be able to tell that the other female was a Brackenfield wolf. A beta like her, a far more manageable threat than if it had been an alpha, but still someone from a pack she'd been avoiding as much as she possibly could.
Her shaking grip on the knife tightened, waving slow, threatening arcs through the air as she locked eyes with the other beta, her heart in her throat. Think, Andy, think. She's pretty, but you can't let that distract you!, she thought to herself with a low gulp.
"Woah, back up bitch, I won't hesitate to cut you-" She growled, her sharp words enough to make even her flinch as they left her mouth.
Great. Just great Andy. Now you're an asshole too, not just a trespasser.
Her tail flicked in agitation as she slowly circled around, studying intently. The female was pretty, distractingly so, with lips and eyes that made her aching heart think back to her own younger years.
Made her think back to whispered words of love, to waking up with someone she loved in her arms, to the mate she had been forced to watch wither away under the weight of illness... But she couldn't focus on that right now. Right now, she had to focus on just surviving.
On living another day in this god forsaken world, or die trying.
"Your weapons. Drop 'em."
"I'm just here to catch some prey, then I'll be on my way again. There's no reason for either of us to get hurt..."
