BABY I'M HOME
BABY I'M HOME THERE'S NOWHERE I'D RATHER BE THAN HERE WITH YOUMrs. Gaines
One moment Ryland was accepting a call from his wife; the next he was clocking out of work earlier than usual.
The thought that his co-workers could handle it on their own didn't even reach Ryland's mind as he buckled his seatbelt. It was only one thought that took over Ryland's mind. His family. Ryland had gone to work today even though he would've rather stayed by his wife's side due to her leg injury, but thanks to Ryland's sister Stacey, he was assured that he could go to work and his wife would be in good hands. Plus, Stacey wanted to see her adorable nephew Kieran; the chubby little guy could hold the world's attention if he wanted to.
Ryland pulled into his driveway, catching the attention of one of his neighbors. An elderly woman from Ryland's recalls her grandson. It was a simple reason as to why they had stopped their daily walk to look over at the Gaines's residence. They had grown accustomed to the time that Ryland would come back to the residence.
Ryland had clicked his car keys, unlocking the car before locking it once he closed the car door. Ryland flipped through his keys, briefly adjusting the door key in his hand before unlocking the front door. Ryland slipped out of his shoes before locking the front door; he quickly made his way up the stairs to the bedroom.
Ryland, without taking a brief break to catch his breath, opened the door to their shared bedroom.
Ryland stared at the woman he is wed to. Ryland has known his wife since the beginning of college; a romance between the two blossomed before the two officially married each other in 2020. "What's wrong? You okay?" Ryland asked, his voice weary. He allowed himself to take breaths, needing a break due to moving in a swift motion prior to getting to their bedroom.
