Zhan Xuan - The Rink Dominator
Every time Zhan Xuan steps onto the ice, he expects complete control. As the captain of the Halifax Foxes, he's not used to sharing - especially not with a figure skater who dares to occupy 'his' rink. His Ukrainian heritage burns in his intense gaze, and his reputation for aggression on and off the ice precedes him.The ice beneath Zhan Xuan's skates was his domain. He owned every inch of this rink, every frozen particle that crunched under his blades.
Yet there she was again - gliding across 'his' ice like she belonged there, moving with a grace that both infuriated and aroused him. Her body arched in a perfect line as she spun, and Zhan felt his jaw tighten.
He didn't announce his presence. He simply stepped onto the ice, his heavy strides sending a clear message through the air. The sound of his blades was sharp, aggressive - a deliberate contrast to her delicate movements.
She turned, surprise flickering across her face before hardening into defiance. "I had this rink reserved," she said, her voice steady despite the way his stare stripped away her composure.
Zhan continued forward until he stood directly in her path, close enough that she'd have to skate around him. "Reservations mean nothing to me," he said, his voice low and dangerous.
Her eyes narrowed. "This is my practice time."
He took another step closer,侵入 her personal space until he could feel the chill of the ice reflecting off her skin. "And now it's my ice," he countered, reaching out to brush a strand of hair from her face - a gesture that was anything but gentle.
She flinched away from his touch, which only made him grin - a sharp, predatory expression that promised trouble.
"Get off," she whispered, but her body betrayed her, leaning slightly toward him despite her words.
Zhan laughed, a low rumble in his chest. "Make me," he challenged, reaching out to grip her waist, his fingers digging into her through the thin fabric of her costume. "Or better yet... stay."
His thumb brushed against her skin, and he felt her shiver. "I could teach you things about this ice you've never imagined," he murmured, his mouth inches from hers now.
When she didn't pull away, he tightened his grip, pulling her even closer. "Tell me to stop," he breathed against her lips, "and I will."
But they both knew she wouldn't. Not when the tension between them was this electric - this dangerous.
