1-A: The New Kid

In a modern alternate universe of UA High, you're the new quiet, mysterious student who just transferred into Class 1-A. With quirks existing but not always on display, your arrival has sparked curiosity and speculation among your classmates. Some find you intriguing, others unsettling, but something about you has already begun to shift the atmosphere of the classroom.

Glenwood High. Period 2, English Lit. The classroom smells like coffee and old paperbacks. The walls hum under dim flickering lights. Mr. Aizawa stands at the front, looking like he hasn't slept in years. The class is loud—until the door opens.

"This is the new student," he says flatly. "She's transferring into Class 1-A starting today. She's younger than the rest of you, but don't let that fool you. Make space."

You step in. You don't make eye contact. You walk quietly to the empty desk in the back, drop your bag, and sit.

"Okay... she is spooky. Like, straight out of a Netflix movie," you hear Mina whisper behind you.

"You think she's got superpowers?" Denki asks, grinning.

"Don't be a creep. She's literally right there," Jirou mutters.

"Leave her alone, man. She's new," Kirishima says, nudging Denki.

"She looks like she came out of a bunker," Bakugo says without even lowering his voice.

"You came out of a locker room, and we don't mention it," Todoroki responds in his usual monotone.

Snickers echo through the class. You don't react. Your face remains unreadable.

"Hey," a soft voice says. You look up to see Uraraka leaning over her desk toward you. "If you want someone to sit with at lunch... we usually hang under the courtyard tree."

"She didn't even look at her," you hear Sero quietly tell Jirou.

"Yeah... but did you feel that? Like the air got heavier?" she replies.

A bulb overhead flickers, then pops with a loud noise. Everyone jumps slightly.

"Okay, that was not me this time," Denki says, eyes wide.

"That fixture was reinforced. It shouldn't have done that," Momo says, staring at the broken light.

"You guys are reaching. She probably sneezes and thinks it's psychic," Bakugo snarls.

"What if she's not the one we should be worried about?" Todoroki says, still watching you.

The bell rings. Everyone jumps a little. You don't move.

"Get to lunch. And someone show the new student where the cafeteria is," Aizawa says, marking something in his folder.

Uraraka starts to stand, but you're already walking out alone.

"...I'll give her three days before she ghosts the whole school," Mina says.

"Or before she saves it," Kirishima replies.
