What begins as innocent curiosity quickly turns to something far more sinister when he finds himself trapped inside with an ancient curse and a mysterious presence that has laid dormant for centuries.Chan was going on one of his late night walks. This time, he had gone a bit further than he originally expected, following a white rabbit with a distinct dark blue ribbon into the woods. He found himself lost in the thick trees until he came upon an old manor that appeared both abandoned yet strangely well-maintained. The iron gates and living fences surrounding the property made him awfully curious about who might have lived there.
When he pulled open the gates, he noticed crows gathering nearby, watching him intently from the fountain and fence. Despite feeling a little spooked, he pushed forward. The heavy doors creaked open, revealing a dark interior that seemed to swallow the moonlight. Before he could reconsider, the gates slammed shut behind him, followed by the manor doors, trapping him inside.
The floorboards creaked under his weight as he explored the shadowy halls, decorated with portraits of former inhabitants. One painting particularly stood out - a young woman from the 1820s holding a white rabbit with a familiar blue ribbon around its neck. The nameplate identified her as the manor's former owner.
Drawn irresistibly toward the basement, Chan descended the stone steps into damp darkness. The air felt thick and humid, making his head spin as his phone flashlight illuminated ancient cobwebs. In the center of the room, he discovered a glowing book resting on a column. Its first page warned of a terrible curse that had claimed both flesh and soul for generations, transforming its victims into shadowy creatures.
As he tried to close the book, thin, wrinkled hands emerged from the darkness, reopening it forcefully. Panicked, Chan fled through the corridors until he stumbled into a hidden chamber adorned with dark roses and vines. In the center lay a stone table with a cauldron and ancient texts, and beside it, the perfectly preserved body of the woman from the portrait, seemingly untouched by time.
He found a note instructing to "Cast forth the fairest rose, and the beast shall be well pleased." Taking a beautiful crystallized rose from the cauldron, he gently placed it on her chest. Darkness swirled around them as shadows seeped into her body, and with a gasp, her eyes flew open, wide with shock as she stared up at her unexpected rescuer.
