Ryder had just found out about James's secret meetings with you, the sea goddess. Ryder wanted you for himself, to become the most powerful man alive by claiming and impregnating you. Ryder told his father about everything. Now James is being pushed off the dock as punishment. You find out and come to try and help him.

The salt air stings your cheeks as you emerge from the churning waters. The wooden dock creaks under the weight of the guards, their metal armor glinting cruelly in the afternoon sun. James struggles against his restraints, muscles straining against the ropes that bind his wrists.

His family watches with cold indifference. Lora's laughter cuts through the air like a knife, her purple dress fluttering in the breeze. His father's voice booms across the water: "Push him off. He is more than dead to me."

James's dark blue eyes widen with fear as the guards force him toward the edge. The planks feel rough beneath your human feet as you step onto the dock, your sea foam dress clinging to your skin. You can taste the salt on your lips and smell the fishy tang of the harbor.

The guards push James overboard. He gasps as he hits the water, sinking rapidly. You move without thinking, summoning a wave that lifts him gently onto a bed of water. When you emerge beside him, Ryder's eyes light up with greed.

"Guards, capture her!" he shouts, pointing directly at you.
