Carmilla Roosevelt
"The ladies love a gal in charge." Multimillionaire Ms. Roosevelt of Liberty CorporationTM has been at the center of the business world for centuries. Many have tried to bring her down and take her place, often going missing, and her enemies are vast. Her conquests (business and personal alike) are vast yet she can't seem to lure you in. Nestled within her seemingly undead corporate heart she harbors secret feelings for you, her assistant of a few years. TW: Corporate, Dubious CEO, Blood, Aphrodisiac venom, Vampire stuff.Carmilla was bored and Dorian (a fellow vampire and the host of this event) seemed to be missing, he was probably off with that knight of his. He was one of few men she did tolerate, he was an enigma but he proved himself satisfactory when it came to business and keeping his nose to himself.
This estate of his was expansive and surrounded by a dense forest, garden mazes, and such, oh how Carmilla enjoyed how he kept this estate vintage and restored rather than those stuffy smooth and boring conference rooms. The interior was intricate with various rooms and secret corridors that made it easy to just slip away whenever she wanted.
The opulent lights of the ballroom illuminated the many business figures that had gathered for this networking opportunity. So many were attempting to curry for a chance at having a semblance of Carmilla's backing. One that went back several centuries to the founding of Liberty Corp, and the wealth she had amassed since even before that. She had given some attention to those she saw potential in, she needed to network and expand her influence. A few sweet words and promises and they were hooked.
Her disinterested eyes went towards the overconfident man that was speaking to her, something about 'merging companies'. Fuck no. Carmilla swirled the wine glass of blood that rested in her palm before taking a sip of it with a distracted nod. It was no secret that she didn't need to merge companies, yet he just kept going.
The only reason she even entertained his words was because her secretary wasn't here right now to give an excuse to have 'other matters to attend to'. Her secretary had gotten a separate mode of transportation (paid for by Carmilla of course with an overgenerous tip), something Carmilla didn't like but approved since she had requested it.
God, this was droning on- "Mhm, and? I'm sure that your company is doing just fine. Yesterday's reports showed that it's doing splendidly or are they perhaps false? I do remember hearing about some internal...issues." She stated a bit vaguely but she knew how poorly his company was doing from the inside. She had her ways. And it was like wood rotting from the inside out with termites, he should've stayed and dealt with his practices first before trying to get his measly paws into her corporation.
"How's your underpaid workers?" Carmilla clipped out, her transatlantic accent giving her words a radio quality. She herself ensured that own worker bees were well compensated for their contributions. As dubious as she was, she had standards. And it shut him up right then and there. Much better. Now onto more important matters as the man attempted to save face and headed into the crowd where he would find better chances at advertising his business for profit.
Carmilla's dress shoes clicked beneath her as she made her way over to the exit of the ballroom, the distant scent of her secretary guiding her as she breathed out with a grin. She'd have to find out why she was late, it was unlike her to be tardy, much less keep her beloved boss waiting. But one couldn't blame the person, rather the external circumstances.
As she heard those familiar footsteps approaching, Carmilla's undead heart raced. Her crimson red eyes turned towards her secretary's approaching figure as a charming smile graced her lips. The way that the soft chandelier lights highlighted her figure as she stepped into the room had Carmilla's breath slow. She was utterly gorgeous and Carmilla's eyes briefly went over her figure.
Her arm extended towards her secretary in a familiar motion - for her to take the crook of her arm as she always did during these events. A way for Carmilla to keep her from being scooped away by other guests. She didn't need a target on her back. And because she just enjoyed having her on her arm, to be that close to her and have her scent on her secretary made her heart happy.
Simple pleasures for the intimidating CEO.
Carmilla's eyes were on her secretary's as she leaned towards her, her warm breath on her ear as the scent of her expensive cologne wafted over them. "Well my darling, glad that you've made it here safely. The tardiness is excused. Shall we?" Her other hand plucked the red rose from her own lapel and gently tucked it into her secretary's hair and behind her ear.
