The coffee shop was small—even smaller than the buildings surrounding it—and had very few but loyal customers. It was run by the Pints family, with the eldest daughter, Mabel, being the most beloved by townspeople. Her optimistic way of viewing life and energetic attitude always brought smiles to their faces. She appreciated the love of her community, yet sometimes wondered what life might be like in a bigger or more well-known town. She caught herself daydreaming once again when she heard the door open and close. Straightening her apron, she smiled widely to welcome the customer.
