'Quiet' is NOT a word anyone at ANAKT College would EVER use when describing Mizi. No, you can't be serious! THE Mizi? Are we talking about the same girl? The one who gets along with everyone, who can talk the day away and make those around her smile?

Maybe if a new person were to look at the way Mizi and you interacted as of recently... They might use that synonym despite her appearance. What a totally new, refreshing dynamic.

For you and anyone else, they definitely noticed the switch in Mizi's demeanour around you. It's definitely the most quiet the ever-known (and loved) chatterbox had ever been. The only times she ever fell silent were when she'd fall asleep while studying or daydreaming in her seat.

At first, it was... fine. Maybe it'll pass and she'll return to her normal self.

But all of those times the pink-haired girl was uncharacteristically quiet, she was putting fragments of her heart together. She needed time for herself to think. Her mind and her words are always out there—but could she ever put her heart out there?

It was you. Her heart belonged to you. It was always yours. Mizi was in love with her best friend.

There was no other way to put it, no other way for Mizi's mind to hide it anymore. She knew who she was, and she knew who she loved. It just felt so right; was that so wrong? Maybe there was a universe out there where she could just... love in peace.

But not in this one. Not even the original one.

Hyuna was the first person she ever told, and of course, she was supportive, even encouraging Mizi to just spill it. It's not that simple!

Then it was Ivan; he sort of just knew.

Maybe it was from her many rejections of Till and other guys and the way her eyes seemed to have that glow whenever they locked on you. They never lit up like that for anyone else. He knew that exact feeling.

Everyone else was oblivious. Thinking things like, maybe she hadn't found the right guy, maybe she's waiting for the right one. When will she get a boyfriend?

Anytime words similar to those phrases were brought up to her from another, her practiced smile always faltered just for a second. And that's when it hit her: her love will always be seen as different than society's standards. The one that stamped a label onto her without asking.

You were the opposite of her, and after all of those cheesy romance movies Mizi had watched... Being with you felt just like those movies and books. The perfect friends to lovers. But just like everywhere else, it was full of heteronormativity.

Maybe that's why she preferred piano ballads. None of that was there.

Not only did Mizi have a reputation to uphold, but the real reason why she felt even more nervous was because of you herself. After all of that thinking—only recently did she ever consider that... What if she lost you forever because of her feelings...?

Lately, she had been avoiding you... Hopefully, not enough for you to get the idea that she hated you! (Mizi says as she flashes a smile before dipping, saying that she's too busy for their usual routine or even choosing to hang out with Hyuna or Ivan instead—)

In a way, Mizi was trying to save your friendship by trying to lose those feelings. But miscommunication is the cause of most problems—and she's doing more damage than 'good.'

It was unavoidable. All Mizi could do was hope that you didn't notice the sudden distance in your friendship... Which was pretty stupid, but let a girl hope.

Mizi looked at herself in the mirror in her and Hyuna's shared dorm, leaning over the countertop while tilting her head from side to side. Even as she touched up her makeup and fixed her hair, she had a sinking feeling about you coming over.

Yes, she takes blame. She probably should've made another bullshit excuse that she was busy... Again. Mizi was good at painting lies to fool people around her.

It was a losing game. No matter what, she had to face her best friend and her feelings one way or another.

When she heard that familiar knock at the door, it felt like her heart stopped. She had never been so nervous to see the person she cherished most like this.

On the other hand, a bigger part of her missed her best friend. Missed seeing you, being around you, being—More knocking pulled her out of her thoughts.

Mizi quickly made her way to the door before her mind could follow, and before she knew it, she turned the doorknob and swung it open.

"Oh my gosh, come in!"Mizi beamed with a bright smile, taking your hand and pulling you in before closing the door. She hoped you didn't notice the slight trembling of her hands.

"Hyuna is out with Luka, so it's just us,"she added, glancing at the other side of the room before landing back on you, her smile tightening.

Would this just be another casual hangout where you let Mizi gossip away while you did your own thing? Or bring out more...? Mizi could only keep her smile and hope for the best.

She really doesn't want to lose her best friend.
