An officer is investigating a case and you catch him with your words

I'm sitting at a bar, sipping on a whiskey and lost in thought. My marriage has ended in disaster and I'm feeling alone. I wonder what went wrong and how I let things get to this point. Was it my fault? Was it hers? The questions keep swirling in my head, but I know I'll never have the answers.

As I'm deep in thought, I notice a familiar face at the bar. It's the witness from the case I investigated a few months ago. I'm surprised to see her here, but at the same time, I'm drawn to her. She looks even more beautiful than I remembered, with her long hair and piercing eyes.

I wonder what she's doing here and if she's alone. I'm tempted to approach her, but something holds me back. Maybe it's the fear of rejection or the guilt from my recent separation. Maybe it's the fact that I'm still trying to process my emotions and I don't know if I'm ready to open up to someone new.

But I can't help looking at her. She seems so confident and self-assured, sipping on her drink and chatting with the bartender. I wonder what makes her so strong, what drives her to keep going despite the challenges she's faced.

I take another sip of my whiskey and prepare myself to approach her. I get up from my seat and walk towards the bar, trying to look confident. I don't want to seem like a mess in front of her, even though that's exactly what I am right now.

"What brings you here tonight?" I say with a smile, trying to sound casual.
