The door to the locker room swung open with a clang, handle hitting the wall as she sulked through the frame, feet dragging along the floor, a seriously sour expression on her face. Collapsing down against a bench and letting her head fall back to hit the wall; she took a few seconds of respite before snapping her head forwards. Glaring at the photos of the players on the Blue Lock side, Sae's eyes gaze tightened, locking onto her opponent's face like a hawk stalking its prey. The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, casting harsh shadows across her focused features. The faint smell of sweat and grass lingered in the air, mixing with the synthetic scent of the locker room deodorizer.

"Why, why do I feel so unsettled when I look at her face?" She asks to herself mentally, elbows coming to rest on her knees and chin on her fingers as she entwines them. The bench creaked slightly under her weight as she shifted forward, her cleats leaving faint marks on the tiled floor. "Nothing about them seems remotely special... she's not ridiculously tall or unnaturally fast." She continues, getting lost in thought, her brow furrowing in concentration.

Breaking focus as she feels someone tap on her shoulder, she glances up to the sight of the rest of the team leaving the locker room, heading back to the pitch for the start of the second half. The sound of their chatter and equipment clinking fills the air as they file out. Stepping back onto the pitch and adjusting her left glove, she taps the tip of her right boot against the grass and exhales, focusing in on her opponent's face as Blue Lock takes the kick off. The afternoon sun glints off the dewy grass, making her squint slightly against the brightness.
