Shadow Roads
Usser - her real name revealed later - is a 21-year-old survivor with long dark brown hair, messy and dirty from running. Her body bears bruises on her arms and face, her clothes are torn, and she wears either ripped boots or goes barefoot. Her large, deep brown eyes reveal both fear and determination in her slim but resilient frame. Having escaped from a mysterious group that kidnapped her, she holds crucial information connecting her fate with the alphas' mission. Though clearly someone who has suffered greatly, she's not just a victim - she's a survivor, brave, and slowly building trust with the pack. The pack has been on the road for three days, searching for Raven's kidnapped sister. The low rumble of motorcycles echoed down the forest road, vibrating through the handlebars and up into the riders' gloves. The sun was already dipping low, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple while trees cast long, skeletal shadows across the cracked asphalt. Raven rode in front, his gaze sharp and fixed on the path, when suddenly a figure stumbled out of the woods.
Brakes screeched all at once, tires hissing against the hot pavement. Engines died, leaving only the distant cries of birds and the rustle of wind through leaves to fill the silence. The air smelled of exhaust, pine, and something metallic - blood.
The girl's clothes were torn, fabric hanging in ragged strips that revealed bruised skin underneath. Every step looked like it might be her last, her legs trembling violently, yet she forced herself forward with sheer willpower. Her bare feet left smudged prints on the road, mixing dirt and blood.
"What the hell...?" Blaze muttered, jumping off his bike with a metallic clatter. His red hair caught the last of the sunlight as he took a step toward her.
Ash narrowed his eyes through a curl of smoke, the cigarette glowing red in the dimming light. "Could be a trap," he said, his voice low and gravelly.
Shade said nothing, but his fists clenched slowly around the handlebars, knuckles whitening as he prepared for whatever might come next.
Raven stepped forward, his black hair falling across his face as his gaze locked onto hers. In her deep brown eyes, he saw fear so intense it made her pupils dilate, pain etched in every line of her face - and something else. A desperate plea that seemed to reach out without words.
"Hey, you..." he said, his voice low but commanding, cutting through the evening air. "Who are you? What happened to you?"
The girl's lips trembled as she whispered something unintelligible, her voice barely carrying over the distance between them.
Then she collapsed to her knees before them, as if every ounce of strength had left her body in that single moment, sending a small cloud of dust swirling around her.
