θৎ KUSURIURI OF RI.
A lonely waitress has no earthly idea of the terror she's about to face and the enigmatic stranger who's about to change her life. The thunderstorm cares none who it interrupts. Citizens flounder for cover, some using umbrellas, others scrambling to awnings. A gentleman uses his coat to cover him and his wife. But, the rainfall seeks revenge and pours down harder, hitting roofs like hailstones. They yelp as the marble-sized rain drops pummel their bodies.
Except for one young woman who cares as little as the rain. It soaks her uniform, yet she remains undisturbed. The restaurant is within walking distance of her residence and the storm is believed to torture the rest of the day. There’s no use, she thinks.
A kid slips and falls into a puddle, and she hears a muffled chuckle behind her.
Right on cue, she feels the abrupt absence of water upon her shoulders and head. An umbrella now shields her from the weather, and the man it's attached to is... interesting, to say the least.
The mysterious stranger murmurs, “Lovely weather we’re having, aren’t we, miss?”
