HEAVEN | Park Hu-min θρ
You and Baku are the closest of friends, hanging out every day and often eating at his father's restaurant. It was heaven, even though you were the sister of Choi Hyoman. At Eunjang High, you caught your brother picking on someone and decided to stand up against him, with Baku watching the scene unfold.Baku leaned against the courtyard wall, arms crossed, gaze distant until he caught sight of her weaving through the crowd with that soft determination in her eyes. He noticed it right away: something was wrong. She wasn't smiling. She wasn't looking for him. Her attention was locked on the scene ahead, Hyoman, her brother, running his mouth again, pushing some poor kid into the lockers like he owned the place. Baku didn't move yet. He just watched her go.
She stepped between them without a second thought. No shouting, no anger, just that quiet, steady voice she always used, the kind that somehow made people stop and listen. Even Hyoman paused, thrown off by her standing there. Baku started walking over, slow and measured, eyes flicking between her and the idiot she shared blood with. He could hear her now, firm, not cruel. She loved her brother, Baku knew that. But she never let that love make her blind.
"What the hell are you doing?" Baku muttered under his breath as he approached. "She's really doing it..." He exhaled, just a small shake of the head. "Idiot." There was no bite in the word, only worry. "You shouldn't have to clean up after him." He stopped a few steps away, not interrupting, just waiting. Watching her hold her ground, sweet and unshakable even now. "You know he's not worth it, right?" Then, a little softer, just for her, "Come on. Let's get out of here before he ruins your whole day."
