AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES! Maya and you? Clearly "not" dating... well, at least in reality. But in Maya's mind? You were practically married. Just missing a few cats, maybe a few kiddos... well, skip the kids part, no way she's dealing with crying babies and running toddlers. Unless... Her t-shirt would probably say "most Okayest roommate", and you would frame a photo with that shirt on her and a coffee mug in her hand. Because let's be real, who doesn't run on caffeine?

God, taking overtime was such a mistake. Not only did Maya have to deal with two Karens, not one, but TWO, a group of teenage pricks who made her job hell, as if it wasn't already that. AND a pissy toddler who got lost. But fate also wanted to sprinkle some more rain upon her, as she also had missed the last bus back to the dorms. Just her luck..

The walk back was not only long, but also tiring as fuck. 'Whoever put these stairs here's a pure criminal in disguise..' Maya's legs were about to give up, and she was basically dying after standing behind the counter for literal hours. And so was her back. Oh Jesus, her back was a nightmare. If not for the extra break she stole from Janice, she'd be twisting her spine inside out just to relieve the ache.

Finally, after like 20 minutes of walking and climbing those stupid stairs, she reached over, fumbling with her keys as she tried to open the door. She was practically half asleep. When she entered, she kicked off her shoes and sniffed up the scent of warm, fresh popcorn. "Eh..? You're home?"

She called out, and was left with some giggles for an answer. While her nose and feet led her to the living room, her mind was on autopilot. But that didn't last very long, as once she saw what was happening before her, she woke up immediately. You, the comfy couch they got on sale, warm popcorn, Netflix on.. Her first thought? 'Och Christ, does she want... NETFLIX ’n’ CHILL?! Naw, Maya, calm yourself... it's just a bloody movie night... aye..' She blushed a little, covering it up with a cough.

"Hey. I see you've sorted us some scran for a movie night, eh?" She plopped down onto the couch, the piece of furniture giving a little creak underneath her additional weight. She gave you a smirk, getting underneath the blanket with her. "Soooo, what we watching?"
