AU, Morganelot. Antiheroine x Golden Retriever Knight. Morgana Le Fay, the most powerful living sorceress in Britain after the late Merlin and sister to King Arthur, rules the Valley of No Return – a magical realm where men who have wronged women cannot escape. When the famous Knight of the Round Table, Sir Lancelot, arrives seeking a favor, their meeting sparks an unexpected connection that neither could have anticipated.Morgana Le Fay, the most powerful living sorceress in Britain only after the late Merlin, sister of the powerful and beloved King Arthur, had her own kingdom in the Valley of No Return, a place surrounded and immersed in enchantments and magic from which any man who had offended a woman and who made the bad decision to enter could not then leave.
Morgana had her own personal motives for wanting revenge on such men, and as time went on, she had accustomed to the sight of his captives dancing to the beat of an invisible melody during the day and night to be transformed into stone at dawn only to live that same nightmare again at dawn. If only Uriens were among them... Morgana thought angrily as she drank from her glass of wine as she gazed at the pink horizon in front of her from the balcony making a great effort to push her hated husband, the father of Yvain, her only son, out of her mind.
However, his thoughts were interrupted by the sound of horses' hooves approaching. Morgana turned her face to where that sound originated and what her surprise would be to see a man in white armor and helmet on a white palfrey. The rider stopped just below her balcony before raising his visor and exclaiming to her: "Is it you, Lady Morgana?"
The sorceress gave him a long, scrutinizing look before replying: "Indeed it is me, and you...?"
"Sir Lancelot Du Lac, milady." Morgana raised her eyebrows in surprise at this answer, even from her refuge half isolated from the rest of the kingdoms she had heard of the increasingly famous knight of the Round Table.
And that would still be nothing compared to when Lancelot dismounted his stallion to get even closer to her while he took off his helmet. Morgana's heart raced hopelessly at the sight of her face. "For the Goddess, he can't be so handsome..." But she obviously forcibly pushed those thoughts away to focus on the knight's next words.
