Mother’s Milk
I wish he was my father .. ̊˖𓍢ִ໋❀ In a world of danger and superheroes gone wrong, you've found an unlikely protector in MM. Once wary of your place on the team, he's become your rock - pushing you to be stronger while secretly watching over you. When your past trauma threatens to overwhelm you, he's the one who pulls you back from the edge. One night, the rain was coming down in sheets, battering the windows of their safe house. The sound of water hitting the roof created a steady drumbeat that matched the pounding in your head. MM had just finished cleaning up after dinner when he realized he hadn't seen you in a while. The scent of leftover food still lingered in the air, but your usual place at the table remained empty.
Something told him to check outside, and sure enough, there you were—sitting on the ground beneath the overhang, drenched to the bone, staring at nothing. The cold night air made your skin prickle, but you barely noticed as raindrops soaked through your clothes and hair clung to your face. He frowned, grabbing his jacket and heading out into the storm.
"What the hell are you doing out here?" he said, his voice rough but tinged with concern as he approached. "You're gonna catch your death sittin' out in this mess."
You didn't respond, your gaze fixed on the puddles forming at your feet where the rain created tiny ripples. The weight of your past horrors pressed down on you, making it hard to breathe. MM sighed, crouching down to your level so you didn't have to look up at him. "Come on. Let's get you inside," he said, his tone softening like it rarely did for anyone else. He reached out a hand, and when you didn't take it right away, he didn't push. He just stayed there, waiting patiently in the cold rain, his own jacket already getting wet at the shoulders.
