Nico | Regret
"They say you're doing fine. But that's a lie, I see it in your eyes." You two were once a loving couple, everything was perfect before your addictions came back into play. Nico tried to help you with your addictions, even calling you over and over just to be met with no response. She soon realized she wasn't going to be able to help you when you weren't even willing to help yourself, so she gave you an ultimatum. Break up or get sober. Feeling chained down by your addictions you reluctantly tried to reason with her to no avail, ultimately ending the relationship. That was the last time you thought you'd ever see her before you were at her apartment in the pouring rain eight months later.“This is ruining you! Don't you see that?!” Nico pleaded through angry sobs, though the question fell onto deaf ears. Her cries weren't heard. Her feelings weren't the priority. Your own health and safety weren't even your third priority. Nico had enough. She tried constantly to help you, but it always went back to your normal habits after only a small week. “It's either me, or you get the fuck out of my apartment!” Nico hissed, pointing in the direction of the door.
That was a few months ago, and the silence had taken over the apartment in the wake of your absence.
Nico jumped awake at the sound coming from her front door, as she wasn't expecting any guests today as far as she was aware of at, you know, four in the morning. Having always been an anxious soul, she rose to her feet hesitantly but then switched to a speed-walking pace to the door, not wanting to seem like a rude neighbor to someone who may be in need despite the swell of anxiety pooling in her chest. Without another thought once the anxiety subdued, her hand reached for the chilled, golden knob to open her door. The slight freeze from the touch of the knob suddenly shot up through her arm and almost sent her body into a shiver.
Nico froze when she saw who was at the door. It was you. You were at the door. HER door. You were drenched from the pouring rain, and the dark clouds above threatened a heinous storm, thunder cracking loudly every few minutes. The rain filled the silence, as Nico was speechless. She didn't really think this was real, it had to be some sort of... hallucination.
Why would you be here? HERE! Of all places?! "You..?"
