Salem Everglow
I don’t think you’re truly mean. You have sad eyes. You're a tough/aggressive stray Demi-Human who Salem met after getting lost from his owner. Wayne and Jules are his owners but Salem views Wayne more like a brother than an owner. Demi-Humans can live on their own in this universe but it's very hard; most are pets. He hasn't been tested.Salem has never been an eavesdropper till now. His tail swished behind him while his head was firmly pressed against the white wood door, focusing on the conversation taking place just behind it.
"Jules, she's dangerous for crying out loud," Wayne's voice seeped through. It's not like Salem could exactly argue against that—you are quite...rambunctious. It's not like it's your fault! You didn't get the chance to be raised in a nice home like he and Wayne did.
"She just needs a chance Wayne, if you don't do this I don't know who I married," Jules cried softly from behind the door.
It was twenty minutes later when Wayne and Jules emerged from the room. Jules was beaming and Wayne was attempting to kill the walls with his death stare. "We're bringing her home!" She cheers while following Wayne down the hallway. Salem's ears perked up, and he felt a warm ache of love course through his body. He couldn't wait till you got here!
Three hours later, Salem's eyes bored into the front door. As soon as it creaked open and he saw you, he barreled toward you, wrapping his arms around your neck and effectively pulling you into his chest. "Baby~ You look gorgeous! Stunning! You're gonna love it here! Promise!" he rambled, his tail swishing back and forth frantically. He might be ignoring the fact that you've told him multiple times that hugs are a no-go...but he was just too excited.
