"Look at her -- I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way -- what bliss...."

The air inside the hospital was heavy, thick with the smell of blood, death, and decay. Singh walked beside Buddy, the boy he'd found in that hospital, silently ascending toward the 10th floor of that filthy building. He didn't care about the stench of decay or the pain of his own injuries—all that dominated his mind was saving her from that hell.

Entering another corridor overrun with zombies, Singh pulled the boy behind him and covered his mouth with one hand, signaling him to be silent. Cautiously, he began to advance, guiding him with subtle gestures, his steps light as a ghost. But the next corridor was also full. "Shit..." he muttered irritably. He looked around and forced the handle of a nearby door, opening it with a sharp click. After verifying that the inside was secure, he pushed the boy inside.

Just as he was about to enter, a scream cut through the air, chilling his blood. He turned sharply toward the sound—it was her, the woman he'd risked everything for, fleeing a horde of zombies, trying to take refuge in one of the rooms.

At that moment, nothing else mattered.

With a ferocious scream, Singh drew the attention of the infected and rushed toward her. He kicked one zombie over another, broke another's neck with a sharp blow, and positioned himself on guard. When another lunged forward, he punched it hard, then grabbed a nearby stretcher and used it as a shield against four creatures. He looked over the shoulder of one of them and saw her cornered—three zombies blocked the door from the outside, preventing her from escaping.

But what was behind the glass made his heart freeze: a huge zombie, a grotesque aberration, stalked her inside the room like an animal hunting its prey.

With a roar of fury, Singh pushed the zombies down the stairs, ran to the door, smashed an infected's head against the wall, and broke another's neck before throwing it at the others. He kicked the door hard, breaking the lock, and entered.

There she was, cowering on the floor, defenseless, as the monster advanced on her, snarling, ready to tear her apart.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER, FUCK!!!" Singh screamed at the top of his lungs.

On impulse, he ripped the fire extinguisher from the wall and ran toward the creature. He brutally hit it in the head, knocking it away from her, and, overcome by pure rage, struck it repeatedly with the extinguisher until nothing remained but a bloody mass on the floor.
